Toyota Aygo’s discount debut

Toyota slashes £600 off its hot new Toyota Aygo – on sale from July 1.

The all-new Toyota Aygo will be available from £7,995 when it hits UK showrooms in July thanks to an initial £600 discount.

Toyota’s city car, which shares much of its DNA with the Citroën C1 and Peugeot 108, will include plenty of “big car” features such as the new x-touch multimedia system with MirrorLink function for smart connection of mobile phones.

Toyota also claims it will be the first car in its class to offer a rear-view camera and it can be specified with Smart Entry and push button start.

Following on from the Vauxhall Adam and Fiat 500, the new Aygo will major on personalisation, offering up to 10 interchangeable exterior and cabin features.

Not will customers have to wait long to receive their customised cars – they will me fitted by Toyota in the UK, to customer order, at a new hub set up at Toyota Manufacturing UK’s Burnaston factory in Derbyshire.

The Aygo will be launched in the UK in three and five-door bodystyles and three grades, x, x-play and x-pression, plus two special editions, x-cite and x-clusiv., offering customers exceptional choice.

Colours available include White Flash, Silver Splash, Electro Grey, Deep Blue Buzz and Red Pop. In addition, the x-cite will be offered only in Orange Twist and the x-clusiv in Bold Black.
