Volkswagen has updated their Tiguan SE model to create the new Match version. While the Match adaptations are familiar to the Polo, Touran and Golf cars VW have now included them on the SUV and given it a new lease of life with some added features and fittings.
The new VW Tiguan Match has been given some added personality and now comes with parking assist detectors, Bluetooth and iPod connectivity points, climate control and a touchscreen DAB digital radio and six CD autochanger, for those home entertainment enthusiasts. The Match is also supplied with a plush leather covered steering wheel, complete with multifunction controls and its wheels now sport 17-inch alloys for that extra class.
Aided by the climate controls, the VW Tiguan Match has insulating glass that helps to maintain the vehicles temperature to a comfortable level. Safety as always is a feature of any German car and the Tiguan Match is not different; it comes fitted with six airbags, electronic stabilisation programme (ESP) and ABS, ensuring the car stays on the road when breaking.
Volkswagen has four engines on offer for the Tiguan Match, two petrol and two diesel engines. There is the 1400 and 2 litre petrol versions and the diesel variants are based around the 2 litre engines whose output produces either 140 or 170 PS and all bar the 1400 petrol engine come with a seven speed DSG automatic gear box.
The initial estimated price for the VW Tiguan Match varies between £22,100 for the basic 1.4 lt model up to £24,785 for the executive 2 lt manual six speed gearbox.
