With the summer holidays fast approaching, new research has revealed the most family-friendly service stations in the UK.
Based on factors including play areas, parking, shops, food options and Google ratings, Beaconsfield, Leigh Delamare and Tebay North are the top three journey stop-offs.
The study by GAP insurance provider ALA also ranked service station hotel stays by affordability, with Woodall being the stay with the lowest cost.

The data also showed that the service stations varied greatly in terms of hotel stays. Woodall was the most affordable hotel at just £32.99 per night.
