The all-new Citroen C5 Aircross has been named overall ‘Car of the Year’ and ‘Best Medium SUV’ in the 2019 DieselCar & EcoCar Top 50.
Celebrating the very best new cars on sale today, the Top 50 is the result of more than 200 vehicle road tests over the last year by the magazine’s team.
“It’s been another significant year for new car debuts in the diesel and alternative fuel world,” said DieselCar & EcoCar’s Editor and Publisher Ian Robertson.
“It gives me enormous pleasure to reveal that the Citroen C5 Aircross is in the number one position this year and wins the title of DieselCar & EcoCar Car of the Year 2019, as well as grabbing the hotly contested prize for Best Medium SUV.”
Last year’s winner, the Volvo XC40, was narrowly pipped to the post and came in at second place, while Peugeot’s highly acclaimed 3008 secured a spot on the winner’s rostrum by grabbing position three.
