Top 10 car brands for customer satisfaction

Lexus UX

Japanese car makers led by Lexus have dominated the Driver Power 2019 brand results, claiming six of the Top 10 spots.

Hot on the heels of last week’s Driver Power new car results – which saw the Toyota Prius claim victory as the best car on sale today – the Driver Power 2019 brand survey reveals Lexus to be the best manufacturer, according to thousands of Auto Express readers.

In what’s claimed to be the UK’s biggest and most comprehensive survey of new-car brands, Lexus owners said the company’s cars offer peerless reliability, unbeatable build quality, and stunning styling.

Coming top of the interior and comfort, exterior, and reliability categories, Lexus repeated its 2018 and 2017 Driver Power brand triumphs, securing victory in the 2019 manufacturer survey with an overall satisfaction rating of 92.06%.

Alfa Romeo Giulia

Alfa Romeo followed closely with an overall score of 92.04%, alongside wins in the engine and gearbox, and ride and handling categories.

Kia’s third-place finish reflects the hugely impressive scores owners gave the brand for its servicing costs, reliability, infotainment systems, and practicality credentials. These highly praised aspects contributed to a satisfaction score of 91.54% for the Korean manufacturer.

“The company has a proven track record of building luxurious, desirable, and comfortable cars, and the stellar reliability rankings Lexus continually generates will be the envy of many car makers, too.”“It’s fantastic to see Lexus top the Driver Power brand rankings for the third year in a row,” said Steve Fowler, editor-in-chief of Auto Express.

Ewan Shepherd, Director Lexus Division added: “At Lexus we are always striving to do better and are thrilled that yet again British motorists have recognised and appreciated what we have to offer.

“It’s 30 years since the Lexus brand was born and it’s always been our aim not just to deliver the best customer service, but also to redefine what great service means to today’s customers.

“It’s this core commitment to excellence, a line-up of great new products and the hard work and dedication of everyone who works for Lexus – especially our retail partners – that has helped us once again claim top place in the Driver Power manufacturer rankings.”
