Jeep has celebrated the launch of its fastest ever SUV, the V8-engined Grand Cherokee Trackhawk, with a Top Trumps inspired drag race.
The limited edition Jeep clocked 0-62mph in 3.7 seconds and 11.48 seconds for the quarter-mile straight against two iconic poster cars – the original Audi Quattro and TVR Griffith.
Reaching a blazing 119 mph over the quarter-mile distance, the Trackhawk’s challengers finished with equally quick times, the Audi Quattro and TVR Griffith crossing the finish line in 18.48 seconds and 13.81 seconds respectively.
Starting at £89,999, the Trackhawk’s supercharged V8 unit delivers 710hp at 6,000rpm and 868Nm of torque and tops out at 180mph.
