The first Carbuyer Best Buys have been announced across nine core categories in a bid to give a simplified overview of the market and to help the average UK car buyer find the vehicles that most closely suit their needs.

Apparently, the recommendations recognise that buyers may be shopping across a range of sectors, rather than in the traditional segments. Also, at the end of the year the Best Buys will form the basis of the shortlist for the Carbuyer Best Car Awards.
